Gustavo Mello
Gustavo Mello, a partner at Boutique Filmes, has been working in the TV and streaming industry for twenty years. With solid experience as executive producer, creator and supervisor producer in fiction series, docuseries, and realities, his productions focus on genres such as crime, thriller, drama, action, and true stories, in addition to the adaptation of major titles of Brazilian literature, such as “Rota 66: A Polícia que Mata” (Globoplay), a fiction based on Caco Barcellos bestseller, the books “Tudo é Rio” and “Véspera” (by Carla Madeira), and “Solitária” (by Eliana Alves Cruz), all in development. As a executive producer, he also structured an Brazilian unprecedented financing and distribution operation with the international market, of the police series “Negociador” (Prime Video / Fremantle) which he also signs as creator, and the medical thriller “Sutura” (Prime Video), both in co-production with Spiral International.
With twelve years of experience as a documentary director and editor, he has produced successful docuseries on streaming such as “PCC: Secret Power” (HBOMax), “Elize Matsunaga: Once Upon a Crime” (Netflix), and “Flordelis: Questiona ou Adora” (Globoplay). He is responsible for the delivery and artistic supervision of more than 180 hours of programming for the main platforms and linear channels of the industry, with rigorous management of the creative, commercial, budgetary, and legal aspects of production. He is also a Member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
